She quickly spoke up.

Nathan’s resolve remained unwavering.
“No, I won’t. Our daughter will have her own life in the future, but you mean the world to me,” he muttered and walked out with her in his arms.
Zakai, who had been waiting, was left dumbfounded by the sight of Nathan carrying Lucinda so intimately.
Nathan stepped into the elevator without sparing a glance, only to realize that Zakai hadn’t followed. Arching an eyebrow, he asked, “Are you coming or not?”
